The Brief
NEXT, a GroupM NEXT quarterly interactive publication serving GroupM agencies and their clients, delivered long-form consumer insights and viewpoints in the rapidly changing tech-driven world. For future issues, the desire was to streamline processes and the editorial content calendar.
The Path Forward
While serving as its Executive Editor, I was responsible for sourcing and synthesizing information and data points and translating them into actionable insights that told compelling stories.
I also managed the overall production process, ensuring that deliverables such as written content and visuals were aligned and delivered in conjunction with the updated publication calendar that would align with each issue's delivery timeline.
The Goods
By leading strategic and creative development for the worldwide agency’s quarterly publication, the collaborative effort with numerous agencies and updated guidelines (content and storyboarding) helped reduce publication calendar deliverables from 90 days to 70 days.
In addition, I contributed to the NEXT Conference as content manager, overseeing and providing content for the innovation lab's two-day event. The NEXT Conference, an annual event held in New York, New York, was an innovation conference that showed how the latest technology will have an impact on consumer behavior in the future.
The tech conference also featured guest speakers from some of the world's leading innovating companies. The thought leaders provided insights into their businesses and observations on how today's new tech would impact their respective spaces.
